HOW YEAR OF 
PRAYER WORKS

When Prayer Warriors have completed praying for their youth everyday for the year, you do not need to stop. Start a new year of praying for that youth. Youth are strongly encouraged to keep their Prayer Warrior periodically informed on any specific prayer requests AND reach out to them to thank them for their prayer efforts.

WHY THE YEAR OF PRAYER?

Year of Prayer is a key component of our discipleship pathway. Prayer is the bedrock of being a maximum impact disciple and through intercessory prayer we believe the best in spiritual formation for our youth. It is our desire that every youth God brings to our group would be actively involved in Year of Prayer.
     Our youth face new challenges unlike generations past. The landscape of our culture is one inundating our youth with temptations that, if they give in, will cause our youth to drift away from God and walk away from the church. According to research from Fuller Youth institute roughly 50% of students walk away from the church after they graduate high school. This is a dilemma that cannot be ignored and must be addressed. 
     That’s where Year of Prayer steps in. The catalyst for the kind of spiritual formation our youth need for their faith to be true, impactful and life long is the Power of Intercessory Prayer! Our Prayer Warriors don’t just pray for our youth from a far but they also have opportunity to journey with our youth through some of life’s most challenging transitional years. Our Prayer Warriors can send emails, write letters, meet in person at church to check in on the life and spiritual health of the youth they are praying for. 
     Our vision is to see youth flourish to new heights in a life-long transformational walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. Through the power of your prayers, by the grace of God, we will witness not only the lives of our youth transformed, but also the lives of those around them; family, friends, school mates, teachers, employers, and anyone else in their circle of influence!
